FROM the late nineteenth century sending postcards to family and friends became increasingly popular. This demand was met by by photographers who operated both locally and nationally so that eventually a post card could be purchased of even the smallest village. Wilding, who were Shrewsbury printers, produced postcards of surrounding towns and villages.and many of those of Ruyton XI Towns, reproduced below, were produced by this firm
